sculptures

My main guidance and source of inspiration comes from nature. The sculptures which I make must have a good feeling or have a balance that feels natural to me. How to achieve this is very hard and difficult to explain. During the process of making sculptures, my mind is blank, thinking of nothing. I only use my hands and tools for chiseling, hammering, cutting, and polishing - not my mind. I do not have a preconceived idea or design, I just follow my own intuition and the natural shape and outline of the stone. Through this process a sculpture will emerge, which hopefully brings out the stone's natural features such as color, shape, and texture in its full beauty.
