24. Art box for Tanbo.x. project, 2004. Box seen from the front. The green schist stone was silently watching the seasons going by. These natural influences on a piece of art were the main reasons for placing these boxes outdoors in the rice fields for one year. For example, in January the fields were covered by snow, all very white and bright; in March, the soil was broken up by tractors into black earth color; then in June, all fields were submerged in water, all blue ripples and reflections. Then small rice plants were planted, slowly growing and slowly changing in color from fresh green into harvest brown. The influence of wind was beautiful, too. Between these periods the weather influences were perfect to observe, with changing skies, clouds, rainfall, winds and even typhoons - just perfect.
