40. Steel object placed at Sculpture Key-West, Florida (U.S.A.). Was announced the winner of "The Bob Crane Grand Esplanade Award" for sculpture in june 2008. Title: "The Sound of Shadow." Dimensions: 3,6 by 3,6 by 3,6 meters. This sculpture frames the surroundings through it's shape, casts various shadows depending on the position of the sun according to the time of day, produces a low, strange sound when the winds of the Gulf of Mexico blow through it's hollow steel frame and drilled "sound holes," and the steel wires are glowing red when the sun sets, thus actually creating it's own space and altering the way we experience place, nature and sculpture.
